About me

My love of art and photography started with a Pentax ME Super.

It was a classic film camera and with it I learnt all I needed to know about photography. But, with a daughter who hated anyone taken a photo of her, least of all - me!, I decided to buy the smallest half decent camera I could pull out of my pocket and operate with one hand.

I learnt to be more cunning and speed things up, and that's how the blurred images came about - me creating camera movement in a rush to take her picture without being spotted.

Today, a few years on and I'm doing the exact same thing, but now it's deliberate and I love the creativity and the emotion I can capture.

Today, the Ricoh GR ii fits the bill, and I find myself trying to forget everything I thought I knew about photography.
